Event Registration Policy
for the Western Ohio Chapter of the ASTD

The Western Ohio Chapter of ASTD is pleased to offer the convenience of online registration and payment to our members and to the participants at our conferences and workshops. Please read this policy statement carefully to understand your responsibilities and rights. Thank you.

Registration Fees:

We now require that everyone pay our registration fees online. We offer secure online payments through one of the industry's leading firms - PayPal. You may pay with any one of these credit cards:

You do *not* need to be a member of PayPal to use this service, but if you are a PayPal member there are additional payment options, such as a direct debit to your bank account.

Fees for all meetings, workshops, seminars and conferences are listed with each program description or on the Western Ohio Chapter of ASTD website (www.wocastd.org). Once you complete your registration, you will receive immediate email confirmation from our chapter. PayPal will also send you an email confirmation of your payment.

If it is not possible for you to pay online when you register, please contact our Membership VP to make arrangements to pay at the door on the day of the event. At that time please be prepared to by cash, check, or money order.

Cancellations and Refunds:

If you cannot attend a workshop, seminar or conference and cannot find someone to take your place, the Western Ohio Chapter of ASTD will give you a full refund, provided that you cancel within the time frames specified below. Otherwise, you will be charged the entire fee.

Monthly Meetings: Workshops and Conferences:

No later than 48 hours before the meeting No later than one week before the event

To cancel, please send an email with your name and organization to our Membership VP.

The Western Ohio Chapter of ASTD reserves the right to cancel workshops, seminars or conferences due to unforeseen circumstances or for lack of participation. We will make every effort to notify all registrants and will provide a full refund for any workshop we cancel. The Western Ohio Chapter of ASTD reserves the right to substitute workshop presenters if necessary.

Tax Deductions:

Don't forget that training taken to maintain or improve professional skills is usually tax-deductible. Consult your tax advisor for applicability.
