Our History, Vision, and Mission

Established in 1956, the Western Ohio Chapter of the American Society for Training and Development (WOCASTD) has served the education and training community in the greater Dayton area.

With members in dozens of different positions and companies throughout the Miami Valley, the chapter offers a wide variety of expertise and networking opportunities in Training & Development (T&D).

Our vision is to be a dynamic, collaborative community of learners, leaders, consultants, and educators, sharing and discovering knowledge for personal and professional growth.

To do this we have established for ourselves the following mission.

Our mission is to provide to our members and other interested professionals and business leaders a valued forum to build productive relationships, learn new performance improvement techniques, share relevant and useful information, apply innovative methods for professional growth, and improve the visibility of the training and development profession and our talented members with the regional business community.
